BABE OF THE DAY - LUCY LAWLESS...

Here's LUCY LAWLESS - alias XENA,
WARRIOR PRINCESS.  With a surname like
Lawless, I wonder if she's a member of WILLIAM
BROWN'S OUTLAW CLUB?  Bound to be,
don't you think?

By heck, that takes me back! Who was the little girl who threatened to, "....thqueal and thqueal till I'm thick! " ?

I caught a few episodes of Xena - it was pure hokum, but fun. Just the sort of thing I'd have loved as a kid. Apparently, Lucy made an appearance in the first Spidey movie, but although she's mentioned in the credits, most (if not all) of her shots ended up on the cutting room floor.

That was Violet Elizabeth Bott, JP, as played in the '70s TV show by Bonnie Langford.

Kid, wasn't Xena on Channel 5 ? The reason I never saw Xena or its' companion show Hercules was because I couldn't get Channel 5.

I never watched Xena either... the bits I saw just looked too camp for me. But I did see Lawless playing a Cylon in Battlestar Galactica and she was great - she kicked arse and looked very good whilst doing it :-)

It may have been on 5, CJ, don't really remember. I never watched Hercules, didn't really interest me, although I think they did Xena/Herc crossovers in both shows from time to time.

Be honest, Cerebus - your missus wouldn't let you watch it 'cos it had two fit burds in short skirts running about with a bit of cleavage on show. I think Lucy looks good whatever she's doing. Slobber.

Xena was a spin-off from Hercules, and the two shows had occasional crossovers.

I liked both Xena and Buffy the Vampire Slayer at first, but quit watching both shows when they turned into self-indulgent, pretentious, depressing soap operas.

Never watched Buffy, sometimes watched Xena - liked her blonde adversary, whose name I forget.
